2018 AKC Agility Championship

Dogs are just super cool and what better way to improve your overall day than spending it watching these marvelous canines maneuvering through obstacles.   I'm finding that Reno hosts a lot of neat events and it doesn't take much to find them.

Led by their owners/trainers, these fantastic animals jumped, climbed, swerved, and made their way through a series of obstacles and were simply amazing.   Some lumbered through.  Others were kinda spazzy but maneuvered through the course with spectacular speed and agility.

I particularly liked that almost every single one would make it to the end of the course and grab their own leash.  It's like they were saying "yep, got that done... here ya go".   Some barked their way through the entire course.   I only saw one that didn't feel like doing the "slalom" that day and after staring at it for a little bit, trotted along side of it.   One saw it and went the wrong way.   Yep, he saw, he conquered.  Order didn't matter to him.

What an incredible morning spent with well trained animals who looked like they were simply enjoying the exercise, the playful romp, and celebrating their finishing the course.   Sure did enjoy being around these furry companions.

Here are a few more shots from the day.
